DOROTHY POTTER SNYDER

 Experienced. Knowledgeable. Patient.

I'm an experienced Spanish language professor. I hold a BA from Yale University and an MFA from Sewanee: The University of the South. From 1989-2000, I was the Administrator and Language School Coordinator of the non-profit Latin American Workshop in New York City where I learned to teach Spanish and produced concerts, exhibits, classes, and literary encounters relating to Latin America. Currently, I teach all classes online via Zoom.

Among my language clients are Einstein College of Medicine, Catholic Medical Centers, New York Medical College, IBM, Healthy Start Academy (Durham, NC), I designed the pilot online synchronous Spanish program at The New School in New York City and created the curriculum for the nation's only certified Spanish course for the U.S. Lactation Consultants Association.

I am also a write fiction, essays, and book reviews. My literary translations and writing have been published in the U.S., Canada, Israel, and Mexico and I have contributed to many editorial projects relating to Spanish language and culture.
